Great Lakes ADA Center
Shannon Moutinho is a program specialist at the Great Lakes ADA Center in Chicago working to promote ADA accessibility and awareness to the Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing and interpreter communities in the Great Lakes region through community outreach and digital media. She is an alumni of Columbia College Chicago’s ASL-English Interpretation program and has worked internationally as a professional and certified freelance sign language interpreter, interpreter mentor, and workshop presenter for more than ten years. She is published in UIC's Disability in American Life: an Encyclopedia of Concepts, Policies, and Controversies. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in disability studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
