David Capozzi is a member of the Board of Directors at United Spinal Association, Inc. United Spinal Association is a national 501(c) (3) nonprofit membership organization dedicated to empowering people with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D), including veterans, to live successful and fulfilling lives. David previously served as the Executive Director of the U.S. Access Board, a federal agency dedicated to advancing full access and inclusion for all.

As Executive Director, David oversaw $9 million in program expenditures and managed a staff of 29 professionals and support staff who developed accessibility guidelines for the Americans with Disabilities Act, Architectural Barriers Act, Telecommunications Act, and accessibility standards for electronic and information technology under section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. He was also responsible for implementing the Board's Architectural Barriers Act enforcement program, along with the Board's training, technical assistance, and research programs. During his 22 years at the Access Board, he oversaw the rulemaking process for the original Section 508 Standards (2000) as well as the Revised 508 Standards.

David was previously Director of Project ACTION and Vice President of Advocacy for Easter Seals and was the National Advocacy Director for the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Law and was an honors graduate and Phi Beta Kappa recipient at SUNY at Buffalo with an undergraduate degree in Psychology.
