Tuesday, December 14, 1999

People with disabilities encounter many different types of barriers in managed care. Currently Mary Anderlik and Wendy Wilkinson are investigators on a national research project "Legal Protections for People with Disabilities" at the Research and Training Center on Managed Health Care and Disability. During this session, they will discuss the latest case law developments in managed care under the ADA and Rehabilitation Act, strategies to challenge the legal barriers, and other avenues for redress including state protection, formal and informal grievance processes.
